The assault caused the partial closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a theft at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
